Busy year-end days, or even regular workdays, will sometimes make you tired, leading to loss of concentration at work. Here are some tips to help you be more alert at work.

1. Get enough sleep

   A sufficient and quality sleep will certainly help you have a cheerful and healthy spirit the next morning. That will help you have a productive day and be less tired at work. Specially make sure you have deep sleep between 20:00 and 2:00 a.m.

2. Take a walk in the morning sunlight

   Walking in a sunny morning is very good because it will help create serotonin, also known as the happy hormone, which will help you stay alert and energetic all day.

3. Don't eat too much during lunch

   After eating, the body's energy is poured into the stomach to help contract and digest food. This leads to reduced blood flow to the brain and other organs, causing drowsiness.

4. Coffee

   You can make a cup of coffee. Coffee contains caffeine which helps stimulate brain activity and the nervous system to help you prevent drowsiness.

5. Snack

   Ideal snacks are nuts that help provide energy and avoid hypoglycemia. However, avoid eating candy because it will make you gain weight.

6. Take a nap

   A short nap of about 15~30 minutes will help you stay alert in the afternoon.

7. Bright workspace

   Your workplace should have adequate lighting. Prioritize natural light.


   In addition, there are many other tips to help you stay more alert such as: wash your face, drink a glass of water, rest for a few minutes, etc. The important thing is to listen to your body and choose the way that best suits you to help you stay mentally alert to complete your work in the best way.
