The IFTP season 2 – 2022 at IVC

Following the success of the IFTP season 1 in 2022, IVC organized the IFTP season 2 for two months from the beginning of August to the end of September 2022 with the participation of talented freshers who have just graduated from IT majors of many universities and colleges. They had passed the rigorous interview round to get the ticket to join this training program.

On behalf of the ISB Vietnam (IVC) company, we- HR&GA department would like to thank all participants for joining with us.

Understanding the importance of fostering young talents and building successors for the company, IFTP program in IVC is always carefully invested with the contribution of many experienced trainers and mentors who are experts in programming languages such as React JS, C/C++, PHP, Angular, Python.

After finishing this training course, some of freshers continued to accompany IVC as official employees, while others turned to a new path to develop their career continuously. No matter which path you go on, we firmly believe that the knowledge and experience you have obtained in the past 2 months would be extremely valuable for you to take the next step in career path ahead.

Let’s look back at the best faces of IFTP 2022 season 2 who already became the official employees of IVC. You are the winners. Congratulations once again!

[SGDs] Goal 12 - IVC participated
in the campaign “Clean Up
The World 2022"

One of the important Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) that IVC is striving towards in this year is to ensure sustainable consumption and production pattern (Goal 12: Responsible Consumption and Production).

Nowadays, with the tendency of applying science and technology, electronic devices are becoming more and more popular and indispensable in the production activities of enterprises as well as in daily life. Accordingly, electronic waste (e-waste) disposal is becoming a major problem of the whole society.

Proper collection and recycling of e-waste is the key to protect the environment and reduce climate-damaging emissions. And this target was the main motivation for IVC to participate in the campaign of “Clean Up The World” held at Aeon Mall Tan Phu (Ho Chi Minh City) in two days of September 24 & 25, 2022.

In response to this meaningful campaign, in the morning of September 24, 2022 (Sat), IVC’s representatives brought the company's e-wastes to the booth of “Vietnam Recycles Company” at this campaign so that these e-wastes could be treated safely in accordance with the professional process that meets the standards of environmental law.

We believe that by spreading the good meaning of these kinds of community activities, not only IVC employees but also their families, friends will gradually form the habits of proper e-waste disposal and environmental protection.

Finally, we would like to thank Vietnam Recycles Company and Aeon Mall Tan Phu for organizing a very meaningful campaign so that IVC had the opportunity to participate in and spread the message of environmental protection to all our employees.

COMPANY TRIP 2022 – THE TRIP OF ENGAGEMENT

Leaving behind the busy life, hardships and difficulties at work, together- IVC family enjoyed a meaningful and memorable Company Trip at Carmelina Ho Tram Resort in 3 days 2 nights from September 17 to September 19, 2022.

Company trip is an annual activity of IVC as a thank you message from the Board of Directors (BOD) to the valuable efforts and great contribution of all employees.

“The trip of engagement” - This was the expectation of BOD for this year's company trip. After 3 quarters of hard work and continuous deadlines, challenges, this trip was an opportunity for all participants to tighten the spirit of solidarity, recover energy so that when we returned to work, all of us would be more energized, more excited and ready to overcome all barriers, challenges to continue accompanying IVC in the journey ahead.

Besides some activities such as mini games, paintball shooting, Tropicana water park, foot massage and other services at the resort…, the Gala Dinner of company trip is always the most anticipated activity of IVC members. And this year's Gala Dinner on the second night didn’t make us disappointed, it was really explosive. All participants created a vibrant atmosphere filled with laughter. Our colleagues were no longer "introverted and quiet people" as usually, together- we played very hard because we were really “one team – one family – one IVC”

From the point of view of Organizer Team, we think that the best thing left after this trip is the openness, dynamism and united spirit of all participants. There was no longer a distance; we were really one team – one family – one IVC, so that when we returned to work, we could become each other's trusted colleagues.

Thanks to BOD for giving us the opportunity to join this meaningful trip, thanks to all participants for joining us.

Together – all of us had a journey of engagement – a memorable trip.

HOW TO RECHARGE ENERGY AFTER A HARD WORKING DAY

Have you ever felt tired and out of energy after a long day at work, and cannot focus on anything?

I am working in ISB Vietnam as a saleswoman, sometimes I feel under pressure and stressed at work.

When I get tired and feel burned out, my motivation and communication can negatively impact my professional image as a saleswoman.

This may be the right time to be recharged ASAP!

In this post, I would like to share with you some quick tips from my experience that help overcome it, and hope it is helpful for you to refresh yourself when you are in the same situation.

Get moving – do yoga at home, take a dance break, go for a walk and do something that doesn’t require sitting.

Get a warm bath or shower–a great way to leave tiredness and stress from work behind is by washing away all the tension from your body. Water can help calm your soul and mind. You can take a hot bath or shower to help relax the muscles. Then, continue with a splash of cold water to make the body recover.

Turn on some tunes – listen to your trusty favorites or try something new like different kind of music or relaxing spa sounds.

Be a foodie – cook something, try a new recipe, brew some coffee, and eat some fruits you’ve never tried before.

Give your pets some love – take a play break, bathe them, take them for a walk and play with them.

Spend time with close friends and family – recharge by spending more time with people who boost you up as opposed to surrounding yourself with those who bring you down.

Talk with a positive-thinking person– reduce present stress and help us feel better about the future.

Get more sleep– sleep is the ultimate body recharger. Experts recommend seven to nine hours of sleep per night for healthy adults ages 26 to 64. Getting fewer than six hours of sleep per night is a major risk factor for burnout at work.

Take a day off – read a magazine or a book, walk outside and breathe fresh air, and gossip with your friend.

Take a trip– try and take time out to go for a trip with your loved ones. A change of scenery can help the mind and body equally.

Recharging after work is a very vital thing to do every day. If you fail to recharge, your health is affected negatively. Make it a habit and you will become more productive at work.

By learning how to recharge after work, you live a healthy lifestyle.

YOU WERE SO GREAT- OUR BADMINTON PLAYERS!

Last Saturday - September 10, 2022, the IVC badminton team with a total of 6 male players divided into 3 pairs, represented the company to attend the "TAN BINH DISTRICT TRADITIONAL BADMINTON TOURNAMENT- 247 CUP” which was organized by the Business Association and Labor Union of Tan Binh District.

Although this was the first time our badminton team participated in a district tournament, we played very hard, promoting the spirit of sportsmanship and solidarity. The final result was that all our three pairs were lucky to advance to the 2nd round of the tournament.

Although we could not go to the final round of the tournament and win the championship trophies made of elements such as gold, silver, or bronze, our players have done much more, they won the trophy made of “solidarity” to all the fans and all IVCers.
Together, we did our best and we were the winners. The only thing that we are missing is the playing experience - which will definitely be perfected in the coming years- we believe!

In order for the tournament to be a great success, we would like to express our deep gratitude to the BOD for creating conditions for our team to participate in the tournament and the most sincere thanks to the many fans who came to cheer on us. The enthusiastic cheers of the fans boosted the spirits of all players and made an important contribution to the success of this tournament.

This year's badminton tournament has ended and left many unforgettable memories.
Once again, thank you for the enthusiastic competition of all players!

HAPPY MID-AUTUMN FESTIVAL 2022

A loving moon season is nearly coming, reminding us of the joy and excitement of childhood.

On Mid-Autumn Festival- reunion season, nibbling on mooncakes and sipping tea with loved ones is the symbol of happiness and peace.

Understanding that profound meaning, IVC Company cooperates with the Trade Union to give all employees the mooncake gift boxes from the premium brand of Brodard instead of deep thanks to your companionship, which has contributed to a strong resource for the overall development of our company.

We really hope that these small gifts can spread the meaning of the spirit, the traditional value of connection.

Working in Vietnam as a foreigner

Working in foreign countries is never easy.

There are many differences from working in your country; language, culture, business etiquette, etc.
Those differences can work against you instead of enjoying them if you don’t understand them.

I’ve worked in several different countries in the past and have experienced different cultures.
Understanding the unique aspects of each country would help you have reasonable expectations and avoid frustration.

Vietnam is no exception.

Most of the Vietnamese people I worked with have high work ethics.
I cannot count how many times I was pleasantly surprised by their support at work.

They also value the time outside work to spend quality time with families and friends.
I've seen many colleagues have healthy balance between work and time with important ones.

Another thing I’ve noticed is the high engagement in team building, year-end parties, company trips, and the like.
I think it’s a good way to boost morale and helps teamwork and information sharing.
Who doesn’t want high morale at work after all?

Also, there are challenges I’ve faced while working in Vietnam.

One of them is the language barrier; English communication is not quite easy in Vietnam.
I had quite a few challenging times because of the language barrier.

Having an expectation that there will be a miscommunication no matter how carefully you put out your words made it easier for me to adapt to the workplace without stressing over it.
You may want to choose chat communication or email to avoid miscommunication with colleagues you have difficulty in understanding due to the language barrier.

Working in Business development department in ISB Vietnam, I have many opportunities to work with business partners and customers.
Most of them are Vietnamese people and working with them is one of the most precious experiences I had in Vietnam.

Whatever country you choose to work, I believe the key to smooth transition is communication and respect.

HAPPY IVC MEN’S DAY 2022

August 03 every year is the day to pay respect to all the men of IVC.

We appreciate your love and dedication to IVC over the past and thank you for accompanying IVC. Happy IVC men’s day.

Cool & unique gifts were sent to all IVC men by our beautiful girls on that day, these gifts will be very practical items for the upcoming company trip. Do not forget to bring them when you go on the company trip in September!

On this occasion, the company organized a small Happy Hour Party so that all employees could enjoy delicious hamburgers & pastry together and played an extremely fun game named BINGO!

Hope these moments will be memorable and make all employees relieve stress after hard working hours.

AN IFTP SEASON HAS ENDED!

The IFTP (IVC Fresher Training Program)- season 1 in 2022, which lasted 2 months, had successfully finished on July 08, 2022, on behalf of the ISB Vietnam (IVC) company, we- HR&GA department would like to thank all participants for joining with us.

After finishing the training course, some of the freshers were offered to become the IVC’s official employees, while others started with their new plans. No matter which path you take, we believed that you had put in your best efforts in the past 2 months and gained valuable experiences. Congratulations to all of you & wish you all the best for the next journey!

During the past two months, all freshers have undergone many training courses in knowledge and skills, and been challenged in live projects. In reality, that must have been a tough road for the one just graduating, but most of all, you've made it through.

Once again, let's look back at the nine best faces of IFTP 2022 season 1 who already became the official employees of IVC. You are the winners. Congratulations once again!

The company always appreciates the efforts of all of you and will create the best conditions for you to go further in your career path.
